These terms apply when you enroll in a continuing education training with Angela Schellenberg, whether you attend in person at the ranch or online. Please read them before you pay, so you know exactly how the training is recorded, what earning your continuing education credit requires, and how payment and refunds work.

About the training and your CE credit

The Equine-Assisted Learning Facilitator, Level 1 course is approved for eight NBCC continuing education hours, earned by attending the full live training, in person at the ranch or live on Zoom, and completing the short assessment. The NBCC hours are provided by Dragonfly LLC (Angela Schellenberg). Only the live training is approved for NBCC credit; the self-paced lessons and recorded replays are supplementary and are not eligible for NBCC credit. Every participant who completes the course also earns their Equine-Assisted Learning Facilitator, Level 1 certification from Shakti Ranch.

Dragonfly LLC has been approved by NBCC as an Approved Continuing Education Provider, ACEP No. 8039. Programs that do not qualify for NBCC credit are clearly identified. Dragonfly LLC is solely responsible for all aspects of the programs.

Completing Level 1 earns your Equine-Assisted Learning Facilitator, Level 1 certification and is the prerequisite for Rose Mary Riggs’ full Equine-Assisted Learning Certification at Shakti Ranch.

Recording, consent, and your data

Both the in-person and the online formats are video recorded. The recording exists to verify your attendance and to document your continuing education credit, which the approving bodies require us to be able to show.

By enrolling, you agree to be recorded, and by joining a live session you consent to the recording of that session, including your own participation. A recording notice is shown and stated at the start of each live session. Because these sessions are recorded and every participant's consent matters, please do not join a session if you do not consent to being recorded. For the live online format, your participation on Zoom is captured as part of the session recording. If you are not comfortable being recorded, please do not enroll, and reach out first so we can talk it through.

Recordings and attendance records are kept as part of our continuing education records, for at least the period our accreditation requires (currently five years), and are used to document attendance and credit. The online course replays are also made available to enrolled participants through your member login. We do not sell recordings, and we do not share them outside of what is needed to administer the training and its CE credit. How we handle your personal information is described in our Privacy Policy.

We administer these trainings from California, in the United States. If you enroll from outside the United States, you understand that your information and your session recording will be processed in the United States, as described in our Privacy Policy.

What earning CE credit requires

Continuing education credit is earned, not automatic. To receive your eight clock hours from Dragonfly LLC and your Equine-Assisted Learning, Level 1 certification, you need:

There are no make-up sessions. If you miss part of the course, you can re-enroll in a future cohort to complete certification.

Formats and access

You choose the format that fits you when you enroll:

You do not need to own a horse or have any riding experience. The work is relational and done on the ground.

Payment, refunds, and cancellation

Tuition is paid in advance at the price shown at enrollment and is processed securely by Stripe. We never see or store your card number. Because your place in the cohort is reserved for you, refunds follow this schedule:

Refunds are issued except where law requires otherwise.

Accommodations

If you need an accommodation to participate fully, please let us know at least 14 days before the training begins so we have time to arrange it.

This is professional education, not clinical care

This training is professional continuing education for therapists, counselors, coaches, and healing practitioners. It is not therapy, supervision, or clinical treatment, and enrolling does not create a therapist and client relationship. What you do with the training in your own practice is your professional responsibility.
