These terms apply to two kinds of purchases on this site: the Mother Hunger® Support Circle monthly membership, and 1:1 coaching packages. Find the section that applies to what you bought, and please read it before you purchase, so you know exactly what to expect.
If you are in crisis, please reach out for real support now. In the United States, call or text 988 to reach the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline, available 24/7. If you are in immediate danger, call your local emergency services.
Mother Hunger® Support Circle membership
The Mother Hunger® Support Circle is a monthly subscription community for women in the work of Mother Hunger®. It includes a live call with Angela on the first Tuesday of every month, a weekly prompt to write to, and access to the community space, all inside Angela Schellenberg Members. It is open to anyone, no course required. It is separate from the Mother Hunger® alumni community, which is free and reserved for course graduates.
What you pay
$25 USD per month, billed monthly to the card on file, processed securely by Stripe. We never see or store your card number.
Subscriptions started before September 20, 2026 are placed on a Stripe trial: your card is captured today but no charge happens until September 20, 2026 when doors open. From that date forward you are billed $25 on the 20th of every month.
Subscriptions started on or after September 20, 2026 are charged $25 immediately and then on the same day of each following month.
Cancellation
You can cancel at any time from your member profile (sign in at members.angelaschellenberg.com → Your profile → Manage subscription). Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period; you keep access to the Support Circle through the month you have already paid for.
If you cancel during the pre-launch trial period (any time before September 20, 2026), no charge ever happens.
Refunds
Because access begins immediately upon subscription, and the community is built around regular monthly participation, partial-month refunds are not provided. Cancel any time and you will not be billed for the next month.
The Support Circle is not therapy
The Mother Hunger® Support Circle is a peer support community guided by Angela. It is not therapy, counseling, diagnosis, or treatment, and participation does not create a therapist–client relationship, even though Angela is a licensed therapist. The Support Circle is not a substitute for mental health care.

1:1 coaching packages
The sections below apply only to 1:1 coaching packages (single session, 3, 6, or 10-session packages), not to the Support Circle membership.
Coaching is not therapy
Coaching with Angela is future-focused, forward-moving work. It is not therapy, counseling, diagnosis, or treatment, and it does not create a therapist and client relationship, even though Angela is a licensed therapist. Coaching is not a substitute for mental health care. Because coaching is not clinical care, it is not billable to insurance and no superbill or diagnosis is provided.
If you are looking for therapy and you live in a state where Angela is licensed (Arizona, California, Florida, or Washington), therapy is offered separately through her clinical practice. Let her know and she will guide you to the right place.
The difference between counseling and coaching
People often use these words as if they mean the same thing. They do not, and the difference matters for what you receive and how it is handled.
Counseling (therapy) is clinical mental health care. It can explore the past, work with diagnosable concerns, and is provided under Angela's professional license. It is confidential health care, it can support an insurance superbill, and it is offered only in the states where Angela is licensed.
Coaching is future-focused work that helps you set goals, find clarity, and move forward. It is not treatment, it does not diagnose, and it is not health care. It is open to clients wherever they live, and it is not billable to insurance.
Your first session is a consultation
Your first session is a consultation. We use that time to understand what you are looking for and to decide together whether therapy or coaching is the right fit for you.
If therapy is the better path and you live in a state where Angela is licensed (Arizona, California, Florida, or Washington), you will move to her clinical practice, where therapy is scheduled and managed through SimplePractice and any insurance superbills are handled there. If coaching is the right fit, we continue here. Either way, you will always know which kind of support you are receiving.
Your sessions and how long they last
When you buy a package, the sessions are added to your account right away. Your sessions are valid for one year from the date of purchase, and your account shows the date they are valid through. Where state law limits the expiration of prepaid services, including California, we honor that law.
Scheduling, rescheduling, and cancellation
You book each session yourself using the scheduling link in your account. A few simple rules keep things fair for everyone:
- Cancel 72 hours or more before your appointment and the session returns to your balance to rebook whenever you are ready.
- Cancel within 72 hours of your appointment, and that session is used and is not refundable. Late cancellations and missed appointments hold a time slot that could have gone to someone else.
- If Angela cancels for any reason, your session is always returned to your balance.
- Rescheduling an existing appointment does not use an extra session.
Payment and refunds
Coaching packages are paid in advance and processed securely by Stripe. We never see or store your card number. Because coaching time is reserved for you, packages are non-refundable once purchased, except as required by law. The cancellation rules above govern individual sessions within a package.
What coaching can and cannot promise
Coaching supports you in moving forward, and the work you do is your own. Outcomes are personal and are not guaranteed. Stories and examples shared are illustrative and are not promises of any particular result for you.
