These Terms of Service are an agreement between you and Dragonfly LLC. They apply when you enroll in or take part in a continuing education training offered by Dragonfly LLC, whether you attend in person at the ranch or live online. Please read them before you enroll and pay, so you know how the training is recorded, what earning your continuing education credit requires, and how payment and refunds work. By enrolling, you agree to these terms.
1. Who we are
These trainings are provided by Dragonfly LLC, the continuing education provider founded by Angela Schellenberg, LPC, LMHC, LPCC. Dragonfly LLC operates the continuing education courses offered through angelaschellenberg.com and delivered on the Angela Schellenberg Members platform. You can reach us at angela@angelaschellenberg.com.
Your use of the general website, the website assistant, and other non continuing education resources is also governed by the Angela Schellenberg Terms of Use and Privacy Policy. Where a continuing education training is concerned, these Dragonfly LLC Terms of Service apply.
2. About the training and your CE credit
The Equine-Assisted Learning Facilitator, Level 1 course is approved for eight NBCC continuing education hours, earned by attending the full live training, in person at Shakti Ranch or live on Zoom, and completing the short assessment. Only the live training is approved for NBCC credit. The self-paced lessons and recorded replays are supplementary and are not eligible for NBCC credit. Participants receive a certificate showing their CE hours and their completion of Level 1 training. That is not an equine-assisted learning certification, which requires Rose Mary Riggs’ full EAL training program and all required observations.
Dragonfly LLC has been approved by NBCC as an Approved Continuing Education Provider, ACEP No. 8039. Programs that do not qualify for NBCC credit are clearly identified. Dragonfly LLC is solely responsible for all aspects of the programs.
Completing Level 1 is the prerequisite for Rose Mary Riggs' full Equine-Assisted Learning Certification at Shakti Ranch.
3. Recording, consent, and your data
Both the in-person and the online formats are video recorded. The recording exists to verify your attendance and to document your continuing education credit, which the approving bodies require us to be able to show.
By enrolling, you agree to be recorded, and by joining a live session you consent to the recording of that session, including your own participation. A recording notice is shown and stated at the start of each live session. Because these sessions are recorded and every participant's consent matters, please do not join a session if you do not consent to being recorded. For the live online format, your participation on Zoom is captured as part of the session recording. If you are not comfortable being recorded, please do not enroll, and reach out first so we can talk it through.
Recordings and attendance records are kept as part of our continuing education records, for at least the period our accreditation requires (currently five years), and are used to document attendance and credit. The online course replays are also made available to enrolled participants through your member login. We do not sell recordings, and we do not share them outside of what is needed to administer the training and its CE credit. How we handle your personal information is described in our Privacy Policy.
We administer these trainings from California, in the United States. If you enroll from outside the United States, you understand that your information and your session recording will be processed in the United States, as described in our Privacy Policy.
4. What earning CE credit requires
Continuing education credit is earned, not automatic. To receive your certificate showing eight clock hours from Dragonfly LLC and your completion of Level 1, you need:
- Full attendance for the live training.
- Active participation, with your camera on, for the live online format.
- Completion of the short post-course assessment.
There are no make-up sessions. If you miss part of the course, you can re-enroll in a future cohort to complete certification.
5. Formats and access
You choose the format that fits you when you enroll:
- In person at the ranch, live and hands-on, working directly with the horses, filmed for your attendance record.
- Online, the training delivered live on Zoom (this live session is what carries the NBCC hours), plus supplementary self-paced lessons and recorded replays hosted on the Angela Schellenberg Members platform, with lifetime access through your member login. The self-paced and recorded materials are not eligible for NBCC credit.
You do not need to own a horse or have any riding experience. The work is relational and done on the ground.
Access to the course in your member portal opens on the cohort's start date. It may appear in your portal, locked with a countdown, a few days before it opens. We will email you when it appears and again when it opens, so you always know where to find it.
6. Enrollment, payment, and refunds
Tuition is paid in advance at the price shown at enrollment and is processed securely by Stripe. We never see or store your card number. Because your place in the cohort is reserved for you, refunds follow this schedule:
- Cancel 14 or more days before the start date for a full refund.
- Cancel within 14 days of the start date for a 50% refund.
- Once the training has begun, tuition is non-refundable.
Refunds are issued except where law requires otherwise. If Dragonfly LLC cancels or reschedules a cohort, you may move to a future cohort or receive a full refund.
7. Intellectual property
The course materials, including the manual, slides, lessons, videos, and recordings, belong to Dragonfly LLC or are used with permission (including materials of Shakti Ranch and Rose Mary Riggs). They are provided for your own learning and professional use. You may not record, copy, republish, redistribute, or sell the training or its materials, and you may not make your own recording of any live session.
8. Your conduct in the training
You agree to take part respectfully and lawfully, to keep your access credentials private, and not to share the training, recordings, or member materials with anyone who is not enrolled. We may remove a participant who is disruptive or who violates these terms, without refund where the schedule above no longer allows one.
9. Accommodations
If you need an accommodation to participate fully, please let us know at least 14 days before the training begins so we have time to arrange it.
10. This is professional education, not clinical care
This training is professional continuing education for therapists, counselors, coaches, and healing practitioners. It is not therapy, supervision, or clinical treatment, and enrolling does not create a therapist and client relationship. What you do with the training in your own practice is your professional responsibility.
11. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The training and its materials are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind. Equine-assisted work involves being around horses and, for in-person attendance, carries inherent physical risk that you accept by attending. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Dragonfly LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your participation. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top reflects the latest version. The terms in effect when you enroll govern that enrollment.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles, except where your local law provides otherwise.
14. Questions
If anything here is unclear, please reach out at angela@angelaschellenberg.com before you enroll.
